I’ve heard about puzzle and interactive toys for dogs for a while now!!

About a year ago I bought a treat ball for my girls. As they play with it  treats come out of the little hole in the ball ~  it’s a pretty basic concept, and of course they love it so I thought maybe it’s time that I check out interactive puzzle toys for them.  I’m so glad I did!!

I found this Squirrel Hide-a-Toy online.  It’s THE BEST toy I’ve bought my dogs!!  You just put the (squeak toy) squirrels in the holes and the top of the tree trunk, and your dog pulls them out to play with them!!  My girls both go completely and totally nuts over this toy!!  They LOVE IT sooooooooo much!!  It’s seriously Chloe’s favorite toy EVER!!  Zoey’s too!!  They spend HOURS A DAY playing with their squirrels!!  They couldn’t love this toy any more than they do!! Quick and Easy Nutter Butter Ghosts

If you’re looking for an easy last minute cute Halloween treat check out these easy Nutter Butter Ghosts.  I’ve been making these since Amanda was in kindergarten, and although she is now 24 and Alli is 20 they still insist I make these every Halloween.

All you need is:

1 pack of Nutter Butter Cookies
1 tub of ready to spread frosting
Mini M&Ms, chocolate chips, Sixlets or anything similar that can be used for eyes.

First, frost the cookies with icing. Then, add the eyes and you’re done  ~  I told you it was quick and easy!!

copycat peanut butter tastycakes

Back in the 80’s I worked at a law firm in Atlantic City.

We had the cutest, funnest, middle-aged receptionist named Pat, and we used to LOVE IT when she made these for us.

Unfortunately Pat passed away unexpectedly over 20 years ago.

I miss her dearly, but  I will never forget her or her Tastycakes!!

The cake is very moist and spongy, and compliments the peanut butter and chocolate flavors perfectly.

Give it a try – you will be so glad you did!!

  2. 2 c. flour
  3. 2 tsp. baking powder
  4. dash of salt
  5. 2 tsp. butter
  6. 1 c. milk
  7. 4 eggs
  8. 1 tsp. vanilla
  9. 12 oz peanut butter
  10. 12 oz chocolate chips
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. 2. Scald the milk and butter. Put in a mixing bowl. Add the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, eggs and vanilla.
  3. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for approx 30 minutes.
  4. 4. Remove from oven and while cake is hot, "icing" the cake with the peanut butter. Place in freezer. Once peanut butter has hardened melt the chocolate chips and spread on top of the peanut butter. Place it back in the freezer to harden the chocolate.
  5. 5. Enjoy.
  1. *Note, before serving allow cake to warm to room temperature or the chocolate will crack into pieces instead of cutting nicely into pieces.

Why I’m Addicted To Never Paying Full Price And You Should Be Too!

I’ll admit it, I’m a bargain addict. Why shouldn’t I be? Why spend all your hard earned cash on full price things when you don’t have to? Remember you are basically handing over your time. It’s your time that has gone into working for that item. Is it worth 3  hours or 5 or 10? If the answer is no, then you will want to check out the methods below for making sure you don’t pay the over the odds for stuff ever again.

So you have something in mind that you want to get. It might be a new washer dryer or a sound system or even a new TV. You go to the shop and chose the item you want, pay the price and then take it home, right? Wrong! Just like when you buy a car, there is a chance that electrical items or appliance can be haggled over.
