Black Friday – Exploiting The Sales To Your Advantage

Black Friday has just been, and I hope you got all your shopping done while the sales were red hot! Although the Black Friday period is a time for a shopping spree because there are sales everywhere, there are ways to make it even cheaper. I know that this information is a little bit too late, however, the idea only came to mind a couple of days ago. Still, hopefully, you will be able to keep them in mind until next year and make a killing. If not, the tips that follow can also work for normal sales, and with Christmas just around the corner, that could be very handy!

Here are my Black Friday hacks. I hope you enjoy!

  1.    Don’t Wait

The clue is in the name ‘Black Friday’, but in my opinion the sales start earlier. I know that this year I started looking online for a few bargains a couple of days before the Friday, and I am glad to report there were lots! Okay, the sales will still be there on Friday or at the weekend – I appreciate that fact. Still, that doesn’t mean all the best items will disappear earlier as I am sure you know just how popular Black Friday is at the minute. As the saying goes, the early bird catches the worm, so make sure you are an early bird.

  1.    Slash The Prices Further

Just because the prices are lower than usual doesn’t mean that I am not going to try and cut them even further. I might sound like I am too stingy because I want to pay as little as possible, but I believe I am clever! The Black Friday period is a time to take advantage of the sales, and the best way to do that is to use discount codes and coupons.Don’t forget that the majority of stores like Overstock, still offer discounts even when the sales are live. For codes and coupons, head to Discountrue and browse the website. The site is dedicated to offering info on sales around the web, so if you can’t find a bargain there, you won’t find one anywhere!

Recon Cycles

  1.    Do Your Research

Everywhere tends to get involved in the Black Friday madness when Thanksgiving rolls around. However, that is where a lot of shoppers go wrong. There are people who think that they are getting a good deal just because it is in the sale. Are you one of these people? Just because it is Thanksgiving doesn’t mean that you should forget the principles of shopping on a budget. Always look around every store for the best deals, regardless of how cheap the offer looks. You never know, there might be one that is even cheaper as anything can happen!

  1.    Prioritize

Because everyone from Walmart to Amazon participates in the chaos, there is going to be great deals everywhere. Don’t let that get in the way and allow you to make bad decisions. The variety is always something that confuses shoppers – they don’t know whether they should go to one place or the other. When I talk to people, I tell them that they have to go to the store that they like the most. You can only visit one or two thanks to the queues, so make sure it is the right one.

  1.    Create An Attack Plan

Time is of the essence when sales only last for a couple of days. The last thing I want to do when I am trying to snag myself a bargain is to waste time, which is why I make strategic moves. For example, if I am primarily shopping on the Internet over the Black Friday period, I visit the websites beforehand and register. That means that when the sales start, all I have to do is login and click ‘proceed to checkout’ instead of filling in countless boxes.

  1.    Ask For More Cuts!

Honestly, this tactic does work as long as you have the proof. A lot of stores promise to match the price of their competitors if you show them the proof of purchase. So, if you have made a purchase but see the price is lower somewhere else, go down to the store. Ask to talk to the manager and tell them that you have found a cheaper product elsewhere. They should instantly knock the money off if they are true to their word.

Black Friday is a great time to find a bargain, especially if you are armed with some crucial knowledge.
